Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army Appoints Oladeji Richard BOT Chairman.

The Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army has appointed Hon. Oladeji Oluwaseun Richard, JP, as Chairman of its Board of Trustees, in a move expected to reinforce the organisation’s leadership and strategic direction.

The appointment was conveyed in an official letter dated September 18, 2026, issued through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Students’ Affairs and signed by the SSA, Hon. Victor Olojede.

Richard, who currently serves as Chief of Staff, Saki West Local Government, was recognised for his leadership experience, commitment to youth development and contributions to student-focused initiatives.

As Chairman of the Board of Trustees, he is saddled with the responsibility of providing strategic guidance to the Students’ Army and ensuring that its activities remain aligned with its constitution, objectives and guiding principles.

He is also expected to provide oversight, counsel and mentorship to the Executive Council and other leadership structures, while preserving the operational independence of the executive arm.

The new BOT Chairman will further promote transparency, discipline, accountability and responsible leadership within the organisation.

The appointment is expected to further strengthen the organisational framework of the Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army and enhance its capacity for student advocacy, welfare initiatives and constructive engagement with students across Oyo State.
