Adegbite, Chairman of the Twindad Foundation, received a carnival-like reception as supporters, dressed in NDC colours and waving party flags and campaign materials, accompanied him through major parts of the ancient city.
The procession, which began with the convergence of supporters at the High School Area, passed through Ahoyaya, Caretaker and Takie, before culminating at Soun Ogunlola Hall, Ojaagbo.
Joining Adegbite on the procession were the NDC candidates for Ogbomoso North State Constituency, Hon. Oluwaseun Adeyinka, and Ogbomoso South State Constituency, Hon. Sunday Adeyemo (BSA).
Residents and passers-by lined portions of the route as the growing procession moved through the city, underscoring the heightened political activities of the NDC ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Addressing supporters at Soun Ogunlola Hall, the Oyo State Chairman of the NDC, Mrs. Oyeronke Bolajoko Akinlolu, commended the people of Ogbomoso for what she described as their massive turnout and support for Adegbite and other party candidates at the grassroots, state and national levels.
She urged party members to sustain their commitment to the growth and electoral success of the NDC.
Adegbite, in his remarks, expressed appreciation to the party leadership, members and supporters for the warm reception, while appealing to constituents across Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire to support his candidacy.
He pledged to pursue transformative, progressive and sustainable representation, anchored on initiatives capable of improving the socio-economic wellbeing of constituents.
As part of the event, Adegbite also empowered selected constituents with various items, including motorcycles and laptops, describing the initiative as part of his efforts to promote economic opportunities, self-reliance and improved livelihoods.
He further disclosed that the Twindad Foundation had trained hundreds of constituents in vocational and entrepreneurial skills, equipping beneficiaries with practical knowledge to establish, strengthen and expand their sources of income.
Adegbite reaffirmed his commitment to programmes that would deliver tangible benefits to constituents and accelerate the development of the federal constituency.
