IBADAN — The Director of Youth Mobilisation for the Adekanmbi/Makinde Campaign, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, has intensified grassroots consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, securing the commitment of the Man O’ War organisation in Oyo State to the gubernatorial ambition of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Bolarinwa, accompanied by members of the campaign’s youth mobilisation team, held a consultative meeting with the leadership of Man O’ War, in a strategic engagement focused on strengthening collaboration, expanding youth participation and deepening grassroots support for the APM candidate.

The meeting was attended by the Oyo State Commandant of Man O’ War, Alhaji Yekeen Lukman Olanrewaju; the South-West Regional Commander, ANC Ayoade Adeoye; the PRO/Assistant Man O’ War Commander, Adebiyi Ademiluyi, popularly known as Ijoba; and other senior members of the organisation.

Speaking during the engagement, Olanrewaju commended the campaign team for extending its consultations to Man O’ War, describing the meeting as an important step towards fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.

He expressed the organisation’s readiness to support Adekanmbi at the 2027 general election, emphasising the importance of collective participation in shaping the future leadership of Oyo State.

Similarly, the South-West Regional Commander, ANC Ayoade Adeoye, applauded Bolarinwa for recognising the strategic importance of youth-oriented and community-based organisations in the mobilisation process. He expressed confidence in Adekanmbi’s candidacy and pledged continued support for the campaign.

In his response, Bolarinwa thanked the Man O’ War leadership for the warm reception and its expression of support for the Adekanmbi/Makinde campaign.

He described the organisation’s alignment with the APM candidate as a demonstration of confidence in the prospect of inclusive, responsive and people-centred leadership.

Bolarinwa assured the leadership of Man O’ War and other youth-focused organisations that the campaign would prioritise inclusivity, meaningful stakeholder engagement and the integration of relevant groups into the administration’s development agenda.

He explained that the ongoing consultations formed part of a broader strategy to extend youth mobilisation beyond conventional political structures to professional bodies, community associations, established organisations and other grassroots platforms.

According to him, the growing interest of organised groups in the Adekanmbi/Makinde campaign reflects the emergence of a broad-based movement ahead of the 2027 elections.

He further assured the Man O’ War leadership that its support would be valued and reciprocated through sustained engagement, respect for stakeholders and greater inclusion in the political and governance process.
