Makinde Approves Promotion for Over 3,000 Oyo Teachers, Other TESCOM Staff.

IBADAN — Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has approved the release of promotion letters to more than 3,000 eligible teachers and other staff of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) for the 2025 promotion exercise.

The approval, according to TESCOM, underscores the administration’s continued commitment to workers’ welfare, career advancement and improved conditions of service.

The Executive Chairman of TESCOM, Mrs. Olubukola Oladipo, JP, disclosed this while addressing journalists at the commission’s conference room, describing the development as another milestone in the state government’s worker-focused policies.

She said the promotion would provide deserving personnel with formal recognition for their service while further motivating them to contribute to the development of the state’s education sector.

The latest approval brings renewed attention to the administration’s approach to workers’ welfare, particularly the implementation of earned promotions and recognition of career progression.

For the beneficiaries, the release of the promotion letters represents more than a change in status; it is a tangible reward for years of service and a boost to morale across the teaching workforce.
