IITA Opens Fresh Recruitment Window in Ibadan, Announces Four Vacancies.

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) has opened a fresh recruitment window for multiple positions in Ibadan and other locations in Oyo State, offering employment opportunities in project administration, facilities management, welding and agricultural research support.

The role further requires adherence to occupational health, safety and environmental standards, participation in equipment investment planning, and the ability to train and guide junior welders and casual workers.

Applicants are expected to possess a National Diploma (ND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. A NABTEB Technical Certificate in Welding and Fabrication is listed as an advantage.

Candidates should also have approximately 2–4 years of relevant welding and fabrication experience, preferably in a structured workshop, agricultural or farm environment.

Additional competencies include knowledge of workplace safety and PPE, technical drawing interpretation, knowledge of metals and alloys, irrigation-system fabrication, supervisory ability and the capacity to work with minimal supervision. Experience with MIG, TIG, stick and gas welding, CNC cutting, ERP or work-order tracking systems and occupational health and safety training are also identified as relevant advantages.

Research Assistant – Breeding Data Management:
