Lawal to Commission Security, Water, Market Projects as Acting Oyo Governor Visits ATISBO.

The Acting Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdulraheem Bayo Lawal, is scheduled to undertake a working visit to ATISBO Local Government Area on Thursday, September 10, 2026, where he will commission a number of completed development projects.

The visit, themed “A Day of Impact, A Journey of Development,” is part of the administration of the Executive Chairman of ATISBO Local Government, Alhaji Bashir Olumuyiwa Alade, aimed at expanding community infrastructure and improving the socio-economic well-being of residents.

According to the programme released by the local government, the commissioning activities will commence at 10:00 a.m. in Baasi, where the Acting Governor is expected to inaugurate a newly completed police post and motorised borehole.

The delegation will thereafter proceed to Ago-Are for the commissioning of additional projects, including the perimeter fencing of Kraal Market, designed to improve security, orderliness and the overall functionality of the commercial centre.

Also scheduled for commissioning is a 12-unit shopping complex in Ago-Are, providing additional trading spaces while strengthening commercial activities and opportunities within the community.

Other highlights of the visit include the commissioning of a Nireage project in Ago-Are, as well as the distribution of relief packages and cash grants to residents of ATISBO Local Government.

The projects span critical areas of community development, including security, water supply, commerce and basic infrastructure, underscoring the local government’s emphasis on interventions with tangible benefits for residents.

The Executive Chairman of ATISBO Local Government, Alhaji Bashir Olumuyiwa Alade, is expected to receive the Acting Governor alongside other government officials and stakeholders during the working visit.
