Three beneficiaries from abduction-affected Esinele, Yawota; six indigent, orphaned children also benefit
The APM candidate for Ogbomoso Federal Constituency, Hon. John Abisoye Adisa-Oke, Ph.D., through his Oke LEGACY initiative, has awarded full scholarships to nine students across Ogbomoso and Oriire communities, in a fresh intervention aimed at keeping vulnerable children in school.
The beneficiaries comprise three students from Esinele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area, which have experienced the impact of abduction, alongside six indigent and orphaned children.
The scholarship offers were formally presented earlier today at the premises of Best Legacy Group of Schools, Abisara Memorial Estate, Oke-Owode, Ogbomoso.

Speaking through his representative, Adisa-Oke said the intervention was driven by the conviction that no child should lose access to quality education because of financial hardship, vulnerability or circumstances beyond their control.
He described education as a critical investment in the future of Ogbomoso, stressing the need for sustained efforts to keep children in school and provide them with the support required to realise their potential.
According to him, the scholarship extends beyond the payment of school fees, as it is also intended to restore hope, confidence and a sense of possibility among beneficiaries and their families.
He urged the students to remain focused, take full advantage of the opportunity and pursue academic excellence.
