RareStack ICT Academy Unveils Up to 90% Scholarships, Deepens Digital Skills Drive for African Youths.

RareStack ICT Academy has unveiled scholarship opportunities of up to 90 per cent for eligible African students and young people, reinforcing its commitment to expanding access to practical technology education and equipping the next generation with relevant digital skills for the evolving global economy.

The initiative, being implemented through RareStack Technologies Limited and championed by its Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Salami Ganiyu Olayinka, is focused on helping students and young people acquire practical digital competencies that can complement their formal education and broaden their opportunities in employment, entrepreneurship, freelancing, remote work and other emerging areas of the digital economy.

The scholarship initiative forms part of the academy’s broader vision of ensuring that students graduate with more than academic qualifications, but also possess at least one practical and market-relevant digital skill capable of strengthening their competitiveness in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Under its Partnership Scholarship Cohort 2, RareStack ICT Academy is offering scholarships of up to 90 per cent to eligible African students and youths, with the initiative promoted through the campaign themes #1Skill1Student and #4AfricaStudent. The programme is supported through partnerships involving brands, student bodies and technology communities, with the objective of reducing financial barriers to structured technology training.

The academy offers training across a range of technology disciplines, including Frontend Development, Backend Development, Full-Stack Development, Mobile App Development, UI/UX Design, Data Analytics and Project Management, alongside other digital and emerging technology fields.

Its training model goes beyond conventional tutorial-based learning, incorporating study materials, practical assignments, assessments, projects and a final capstone experience designed to enable learners to apply acquired knowledge in practical settings.

According to the academy, the objective is not to replace university education but to complement it by encouraging students to develop practical skills alongside their academic pursuits.

The initiative particularly targets students who are interested in technology, digital careers, entrepreneurship, freelancing, remote work and other opportunities emerging from the rapidly expanding digital economy.

The academy’s message is encapsulated in its campaign philosophy: “Exams First. Skills Next.” It encourages students to remain committed to their academic responsibilities while deliberately using available opportunities to acquire additional skills that can serve them beyond graduation.

Speaking on the initiative, Olayinka, who has spent about a decade in the technology space, said the academy’s intervention reflects the broader vision of RareStack Technologies Limited to contribute to technology advancement and human-capital development.

Beyond Nigeria, RareStack ICT Academy is positioning the initiative as part of a wider continental effort to contribute to Africa’s digital talent pipeline by making structured and practical technology education more accessible to students and young people.

The academy is also creating opportunities for campus ambassadors, particularly student leaders, representatives, campus influencers and young people passionate about technology and youth development. The initiative is designed to help connect more students with scholarship opportunities, technology training and other development programmes.

With the current scholarship allocation offering discounts of up to 90 per cent, the academy is encouraging interested students and young people to explore the available programmes while the scholarship allocation remains open.
