The Social Democratic Party (SDP) senatorial candidate for Ekiti North, Otunba Dr. Olugbega Peter Obafemi, popularly known as OPO, has welcomed pupils, students, and teachers across the district to the 2026/2027 academic session.
In a goodwill message on Monday, Obafemi extended his best wishes to learners and educators in Ido/Osi, Oye, Ikole, Ilejemeje, and Moba Local Government Areas, expressing optimism for improved academic outcomes and greater opportunities.
He commended parents and guardians for their sacrifices and commitment to their children’s education despite prevailing economic challenges, describing their resilience as fundamental to building a better society.
OPO also urged parents, guardians, and school authorities to prioritise the safety, welfare, and academic development of learners, emphasising the importance of a secure and conducive learning environment.
